…with that in mind our heart is to see our young people get in to the word, worship and prayer but to do this in a safe place where young people feel comfortable and secure.  That is one reason why we at Holy Apostle, with the help and guidance of the Diocese of Gloucester & Churches Child Protection Advisory Service (CCPAS), take safeguarding and young peoples welfare seriously.  When you join the Holy Apostles team you will be given a copy of the Holy Apostles PPC Policy on Safeguarding children & young people (dec12).  We will also offer training and guidance where appropriate and undertake DBS checks.

For many years Holy Apostles has been using the Urban Saints ‘Energize’  website as a source for many of its session plans and its

Sunday morning curriculum. We understand that in todays culture where many people are cash rich (well some of us) and time poor (I think most of us!) that being able to think up, plan, prepare, run the session and then review it would be quite a time consuming task. Urban Saints offer a curriculum which is a great place to start planning your sessions. The sessions can be customised to fit the young people that we work with and theres lots of other training and resources on the site. To access the site please speak to your team leader who will issue you a user name and password.

SoulSurvivorYou might have heard but for the last few years we’ve taken the young people to a field down near Shepton-Mallet.  Its not just about camping in a field, the other thousands of other christians or Jon’s amazing hot chocolates – really its another opportunity to meet with God in a different style to what we may be used to. Not only do they do summer festivals but they have a pretty good website with lots of christian youth related information on it… SoulSurvivorWebsite!
